9 types of personalities.

I bet you know there are different types of people in this world. The basic that most of us know, including me, is that there are quiet, noisy, bossy people around us but there is even deeper meaning to all this.

I just stumbled upon an article on Wikipedia, initially wanted to read more about philosophy but man, that was a tough one to swallow. So, I landed myself on the article that showed 9 different types of personalities which I will touch on in my list.

9 Different Personalities of People around You

  1. Reformers, Judges, Perfectionists
  2. Helpers, Givers, Caretakers, Assistants
  3. Achievers, Performers, Status Seekers
  4. Romantics, Individualists, Aesthetes, Artists
  5. Experts, Thinkers, Investigators, Observers
  6. Loyalists, Heroes / Rebels, Defenders, Skeptics, Questioners
  7. Enthusiasts, Adventurers, Sensationalists
  8. Bosses, Mavericks, Challengers, Asserters
  9. Mediators, Peacemakers, Preservationists, Peace Seekers
Now, I believe the whole post will take a heck long post but I wanna touch on my own personality. I believe I'm either 3 or 8. I'm not sure why, but it roughly followed the behavior aspects of me.

More on 3 & 8
  • Achievers, Performers, Status Seekers - Threes tend to be especially adaptable and changeable. Some walk the world with confidence and authenticity; others wear a series of public masks, acting in ways they think will bring them approval but losing track of their true self. Threes are motivated by the need to succeed and also to be seen as successful.
  • Bosses, Mavericks, Challengers, Asserters - Eights value their own strength and desire to be powerful and in control. They concern themselves with self-preservation. They are natural leaders who can be either friendly and charitable or dictatorially manipulative, ruthless and willing to destroy anything in their way. Eights seek control over their own lives and destinies and fear being harmed or controlled by others.
If you ask me, this is quite important for you and me, as we will be entering the working life in a couple of years and knowing the people you work for or work with will determine whether you are comfortable or not. You wouldn't wanna work with someone of the same personality as most of the time, you will not 'click' and this will definitely reduce efficiency in whatever you're doing.
